Running track installation is the process of constructing a surface for running, jogging, or other athletic activities. Running track installation requires proper drainage, asphalt application, and track design to ensure long life and integrity of the surface. Depending on the selected running system, the installation may use a paved-in-place, sandwich, or full-pour method.
MRI Polytech is a UK-based company that supplies coloured EPDM granules and polyurethane systems for various applications in the field of sports, recreation, play and leisure.
A running track sandwich system is a type of synthetic track surface that is impermeable and consists of two layers. The first layer is a base layer of polyurethane and recycled rubber granules, either prefabricated or paved-in-place. The second layer is a wear layer of polyurethane and EPDM rubber granules, applied by spraying or pouring. The sandwich system provides a balance of comfort, performance, and durability for athletes. It is suitable for both competition and training purposes.
